Gidaki Beach
38° 23.1′ N · 20° 44.0′ E
A white-pebble beach under a big white cliff scar on Ithaca's east coast, reached only by boat or a tough path — the most beautiful beach near Vathi.
Practical
Aim for the large white scar north of Cape Gidakiou. Day anchorage off the beach; water-taxis run from Vathi in season. The overland path is steep and tiring. No facilities. Exposed to easterlies.
Best for
Day anchorage off an empty white-pebble beach
