Alimos (Kalamaki) Marina
37° 54.8′ N · 23° 42.2′ E
Greece's biggest marina and the start line for most Athens bareboat charters — over a thousand berths in the Kalamaki suburb with the Hymettus range behind and the tram to Syntagma at the gate.
Practical
VHF 71 (16 for emergencies); marina office +30 210 988 0000. Roughly 1,064–1,100 berths depending on source, max LOA about 40 m, depths about 3–6.5 m. Call 24 hours ahead for a visitor berth; berths use laid mooring lines, and charter pontoons tell you not to drop anchor. Fuel: the marina lists refuelling, but Dream Yacht Charter's base guide (2021) says there is no fuel station and boats are fuelled by tanker truck at the pier — arrange it in advance. Water and power on the pontoons, ATM, bars (Dia Noche, Skipper's Bar) and a permanent Port Police office in the marina. Charter turnover is Saturday, usually 2–5 pm check-in. Express bus X96 from the airport stops at the marina entrance (stop '1st Kalamakiou'); about €6 in 2021 (verify locally). The marina is under a 40-year concession to REDS/ELLAKTOR, with redevelopment works due from 2026 for about 20 months — expect works and temporary office moves. Sanitary blocks draw poor reviews. Leaving, keep clear of the lit Agios Kosmas reef just SE of the entrance.
