Agia Marina (Aegina)

37° 44.6′ N · 23° 32.3′ E

A busy resort bay on Aegina's east coast with an L-shaped mole below the Temple of Aphaia — 13.5 nm from Alimos, the classic Saturday-evening first stop.

Practical

Use the L-shaped mole on the north side of the bay, alongside or stern-to on the inside — room for about 20 boats (fewer with catamarans); the reinforced south quay is still too shallow. Excellent shelter except in strong easterlies; afternoon winds usually SE. As of March 2025 there was no water or power, but the harbour master collects fees. Expect 40+ visiting yachts at weekends and double that in summer, plus cruise-ship visitors. Sandy, organised beach. Recommended tavernas: Ouzeri Akrogiali (beach) and Taverna I Thalassa (dock).

Best for

Temple of Aphaia by foot, Saturday-night first stop from Athens
