Limnonari Beach (Skopelos)

39° 5.3′ N · 23° 41.8′ E

A sheltered horseshoe bay of sand and shingle just west of Agnontas with clear water and a beach club with a pool.

Practical

Anchor in 5–8 m in sand (solid); deeper than 10 m is weedy, more sand inshore. Room for about 15 boats, most swinging. Fully open to the south — move to Panormos or Agnontas in strong southerlies. Many guides say anchoring is forbidden because of a Skopelos–Skyros telephone cable; Sailing Issues could not confirm it — check your chart. Trip boats until late afternoon. Ashore: Apanemo restaurant/beach operator with loungers and a pool. Snorkelling on the west side. The beach drops off quickly (Thinking Traveller).

Best for

Lunch stop or calm-night anchorage in northerlies
