Agria Anchorage
39° 20.3′ N · 23° 0.7′ E
The bay off Agria, the seaside town 7 km east of Volos, known for its tsipouradika and as the birthplace of the composer Vangelis.
Practical
Sand and mud. It is close to Volos if you need the port. One reviewer says the water is clean enough for swimming, though other anchorages are more picturesque (Grecosailor, the Volos Eastern Anchorage Opt-2 position). Agria's waterfront has tsipouradika (Greek Wikipedia). The Pelion Train's heritage section now starts at nearby Ano Lechonia.
Best for
Short hop from Volos with a tsipouro dinner ashore
