Koufonisi Coastal Walk

A flat, easy 3.5 km shore walk from the Chora east along the south coast past beach after beach (Charokopou, Fanos, Platia Pounta) to the Piscina, the Devil's Eye and Pori.

Route per koufonisia.gr: east from the village along the shore road through Stroumpos, Chondros Kavos, Charokopou, Fanos and Platia Pounta (swim stops), past the Piscina and the Devil's Eye cave to Pori. Return by the 3.5 km inland cement road, which has views of Keros, Amorgos, Donoussa and Naxos. Other short paths: Pori-Gala 550 m, Mantra-Pori 1 km, Limenari 2 km, Profitis Ilias up to 3.7 km circular (the chapel is on private land; keep the door shut for the goats). Highest point is only 113 m. The site estimates about three hours to see the whole island. There is no shade, so start early with water and a hat.
