The Karnagio (Tarsanas) is the traditional wooden-boat yard and fishing shelter tucked beside Neorion, where caiques are still hauled on slipways.
Practical
Municipal fishing harbour (Port Fund) with four slipways mapped on OSM. syros.gr lists the boatyard as a heritage site that keeps the island's boatbuilding craft alive. Not a visitor berth. Ask here or through the harbourmaster for small-boat hauls and local mechanics. The Synchrolift pier just east belongs to the shipyard.
