Gialos Beach (Ios)

The big fine-sand beach right beside the harbour, shaded by tamarisk trees. Visit Ios notes it is one of the few island port beaches to hold a Blue Flag. It is the easiest swim from the boat.
Practical
Position approx: the OSM coastline nearest the Gialos hamlet node, on the harbour side. Check the exact sand on arrival. Part of the beach is organised with loungers, beach bars and water sports; the rest is free, with tamarisk shade (Visit Ios). The Blue Flag is reported without a year (verify). It is a short walk from the yacht quay, and the main KTEL bus stop is in Gialos.
