Alimos Marina (Athens)
37° 54.9′ N · 23° 42.2′ E
Greece's largest marina, also called Kalamaki, on the south Athens coast. Most big charter fleets for the Saronic and Cyclades are based here. It is unglamorous and under long-running redevelopment, but it is 20 minutes from the airport by taxi and on the tram line to central Athens.
Practical
About 1,100 permanent berths, 50 of them for yachts over 25 m. Maximum depth 6.5 m. VHF 71. Water and 16–32 A power at berths. Blue Flag since 2018. Movement Office hours: Mon–Thu and Sat–Sun 8am–6pm, Fri 8am–7pm. Phone +30 210 98 80000. Book with the online berthing application. 2026 tariff (alimos-marina.gr): rates are in a downloadable price list; electricity €0.40/kWh plus a €50 refundable connection deposit for transit yachts; water €8/m³ (1 m³ minimum); haul-out/launch €100 up to 15 m and €150 over 15 m, plus crane fees. A charter base guide says no anchoring inside the marina: use the laid moorings. Fuel comes by tanker truck to the pier (2021). The X96 airport express stops at the marina entrance (stop '1st Kalamakiou'); the 2021 guide quoted about €6, and Wikivoyage gave €5.50 for X-buses in 2025, so verify locally. The tram runs to Syntagma. Hazards on approach: Agios Kosmas reef SE of the entrance (light, west cardinal buoy) and the Mermingia rocks 4.5 nm SE. Redevelopment (preliminary building permit 2025) means pier allocations and offices may move.
