Moorea's favourite public beach, a palm-shaded strip of white sand on the east side of the Opunohu Bay entrance with Rotui rising behind and calm lagoon water in front.
Practical
Very busy at weekends. Toilets and outdoor showers (Noonsite reports). A landscaped fitness trail starts behind the car park (20 minutes to 1 hour). Snack bars nearby. Dinghy landing per the AVP's Aug 2026 request: only at S 17°29.387' W 149°50.949', facing the aito trees, and away from the small family dock. Don't use residents' bins.
