Huahine's young surfers ride the wave in the pass by ZMR de Hiumoo (Avapeihi). Huahine is the home island of pro surfer Vahine Fierro.

Approx: the 2025 brief places local surfing in the pass next to the Hiumoo zone, so this uses the DPAM-derived Avapeihi position. Ask the local surfers for permission and respect the locals-first etiquette. Watch for dinghy and boat traffic in the pass, and do not anchor a dinghy in it.
