Fa'a Miti Dive (north outer reef)
16° 40.9′ S · 151° 1.1′ W · approximate
An outer-reef dive off Huahine's north coast, the only stretch without a lagoon: a coral garden from 12 to 27 m with big porites, schools of yellow goatfish and bannerfish, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, turtles, and usually excellent visibility.
Practical
Approx: neither operator publishes a position; Pacific Blue Adventure says only 'north of the island', so the pin is outside the reef north of the airport. Mahana Dive: 12–27 m, Level 1 / Open Water minimum. Pacific Blue Adventure: coral garden 12–25 m, a wall in the shallows, and canyons around 5 m with giant turbo shells; moray eels and lionfish under the overhangs. Exposed to the open ocean, so dive it with an operator on a calm day. There is no anchorage here.
Best for
Clear-water reef dive with sharks and turtles
