Cook's Bay Dock / Paopao Quay
17° 29.3′ S · 149° 49.1′ W
The public quay and small-boat basin on the northeast shore of Cook's Bay, home to the Tourism Committee and a craft hut, where activity boats and cruise-ship tenders land.
Practical
Small-boat basin: tie the dinghy to the quay with a stern anchor (Med-moor). Dinghies are allowed only when no cruise ship is docked or scheduled; the docks are then reserved for activity operators and ship tenders. Docking fee 1,000 CFP, paid at the Tourism Committee office (2026). Household waste disposal (ask the Committee). The Kaveka hotel restaurant is just south; the Gendarmerie for clearance is a little further south on the same shore. Cook's Bay Hotel day pass 10,000 CFP, shows on Tuesdays (2026).
