Potable water is available at the Vaitahu quay. There is no rubbish service for yachts anywhere on Tahuata.
Practical
Approximate position: the Vaitahu quay at the north end of the beach (derived from cruiser descriptions). Water: the 2026 brief lists potable spring water at the quay; in 2016 there was a spigot on the dock. Bring a long hose and jugs, run them from the dinghy and fend off the rough concrete (2009 report). Trash: the 2026 brief says yacht waste is accepted only at Tahauku wharf on Hiva Oa. Household bins in Vaitahu are for residents (2019), so carry everything back to Atuona.
