Position approx: plotted at the Wikipedia/GeoHack coordinate for Taiohae village (8°54'35"S 140°06'05"W); use the walking directions to find the building. The Service du Tourisme lists it as open every day, without formal facilities but with open areas to linger; it is reached by an unpaved track. Ask the tourist office for the way. It may correspond to the 'Taiohae overview vista' cruisers reach by walking (or hitching) up the central cross-island road (compendium 2017), but that is not confirmed.
