Practical
Position approx: plotted at the Wikipedia/GeoHack coordinate for Taiohae village (8°54'35"S 140°06'05"W); use the walking directions to find the building. From the dock turn left; the bank is on the right, along the coast toward the middle of the bay. Hours (2020): Mon-Thu 8am-noon and 1:30pm-4pm, Fri 8am-noon and 1:30pm-3pm. Noonsite (May 2026) reports two ATMs plus one at the post office (the compendium said the post office ATM was broken in 2020, so don't rely on it). They won't do transfers without an account. Bonds bought here can be refunded at the Bora Bora branch on departure. Leave the Marquesas with plenty of XPF: artisans and the supply ship take cash only.
