Tehere Pass Snorkel (Apataki)

15° 18.9′ S · 146° 24.5′ W · approximate

A drift along the ledge on the south side of Apataki's wide north pass, starting at the fish traps.

Practical

Position is the sea-seek point for Passe Tehere (approximate for the snorkel start). Drop in at or before the fish traps on the south side of the pass and follow the ledge that starts shortly after (Moana, Sept 2018). Do it on the incoming tide with a dinghy minder and a handheld VHF. There is also a fish trap on the east side of the pass to avoid.
