All of Raivavae's 28 motus except Vaiamanu are privately owned, and visitors are expected to ask the owners before landing.
Practical
Representative position in the southern lagoon. Pitufa: all other motus are private, and finding the owners takes real effort; Elma (2024) was told not to visit motus without the owners' permission. The eastern motus are very hard to approach (countless bommies) and to anchor near. Ask at the mairie in Rairua for owner contacts.
