Makemo Lighthouse
16° 37.2′ S · 143° 34.1′ W
The white lighthouse at Arikitamiro Pass has marked the village entrance since 1936. When it was built it replaced Fakarava's old light as the central Tuamotus' landfall, and it makes a pleasant coastal walk from the dinghy dock.
