Ždrilca (Marinkovac)
43° 9.5′ N · 16° 25.0′ E · approximate
A shallow passage on the west side of Marinkovac, sheltered by the wooded islets of Planikovac and Borovac. A long pebble beach links three restaurants and bars. In summer 40-50 boats can be here at once.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate, in the water off the Ždrilca beach (OSM beach way 1211658104). Anchor in 5-6 m on sand in front of Marinkovac; restaurants have laid buoys there. Holding is good but current and tide are noticeable, so take a stern line to the rocks and watch where others' anchors lie. Exposed to bura (NE) and to strong tramontana (N), which can make mooring impossible. Heavy taxi-boat traffic, wash and music from the beach clubs. Arrive before midday in July-August. Taxi boats run to Hvar Town.
