Vis Military Tunnels Tour (Vis)
43° 3.6′ N · 16° 11.0′ E · approximate
From the end of World War II until 1989 Vis was a Yugoslav naval base closed to foreigners, and the island is riddled with bunkers, gun sites and tunnels. Local operators run half-day jeep tours through them, often including the submarine pen at Parja and Tito's Cave.
Practical
Position is Vis town, where most tours start. Reported at about 50 euros a person for about 4 hours (2025). Book through agencies on the Vis front. The long closure is why Vis stayed less built-up than its neighbours.
