The Pelješac channel between Orebić and Korčula funnels the afternoon maestral, and the village of Viganj, west of Orebić, is one of the best windsurf and kite spots in Croatia, with schools and rentals on the beach.
Practical
Coordinate is the anchorage mapped off Viganj. Anchor clear of the surf zone and the kiters; the wind usually builds from about noon. Bura also blows hard down the channel.
