Uvala Kneža (Korčula)

42° 58.6′ N · 17° 2.7′ E

A shallow sandy bay on the north coast about half an hour west of Korčula town, behind a small islet. It works well as a lunch stop on the way in or a breakfast stop before heading to Hvar.

Practical

Anchor behind the islet of Mala Kneža on sand in 2-3 m with very good holding. Do not try to pass through the gap between islet and shore: it is very shallow. Sheltered from maestral, fairly open to bura. Locals sometimes collect an anchoring fee in high season; ask to see the concession card.
