Vidova Gora (Brač)

43° 16.8′ N · 16° 37.2′ E

At 778 m, the highest point on any Adriatic island, straight above Zlatni Rat. On a clear day you look over Hvar, Vis and the mainland.

Practical

Position from the OSM peak node. Hiking trail from Bol takes roughly 1.5-2.5 hours up on a steep, rocky path through olive groves and pine; start early to beat the heat. The Bol tourist office also lists a longer loop (trail 768) via Murvica. A road reaches the top for those who prefer a taxi.

Best for

A big view over the islands

Season

Apr-Jun and Sep-Oct; very hot midday in summer
