The 'hidden harbour' on the south coast of Lastovo, invisible from the open sea until you reach its mouth. It is the only truly safe harbour on the south side and a calm, enclosed night.
Practical
Anchor in 6-15 m on sand and weed with very good holding; lay out plenty of chain. The Porto Rosso restaurant at the head of the bay runs a pontoon and buoys with water and power for about 30 boats; book ahead in Jul-Aug (+385 98 981 3797). The surrounding hills can send strong gusts down in bura. No shops; a summer bus runs to Lastovo town and Ubli. Inside the Lastovo Islands Nature Park: every boat needs a park ticket (see the park fee entry), park buoys cost extra, and anchoring is only allowed at approved sites.
