Velji Lago (Lastovo)

A large enclosed inlet on the west side of Lastovo, reached through narrow passages, with almost lake-like water. With Mali Lago next door, it is among the calmest water on the island.
Practical
Very little wind or swell gets in. Mooring is limited and informal; ask the park rangers where to lie. Good for paddleboarding and dinghy trips. Inside the Lastovo Islands Nature Park: every boat needs a park ticket (see the park fee entry), park buoys cost extra, and anchoring is only allowed at approved sites.
