A small bay on Mljet's north coast east of Sobra, partly closed off by little islands at the entrance. Two family restaurants with their own quays and buoys make it a popular dinner stop.
Practical
Coordinate is the bay (OSM 'Luka Prožura'). Two quays with laid lines and two buoy fields run by Konoba Barba (+385 98 243 401) and Marijina Konoba (+385 99 887 7951); buoys are free for diners. Depth at the moorings about 2.2 m; check at low water. Anchoring is possible in the middle of the bay in 6–14 m. Approach west of Borovac islet, then turn south. Exposed to bura and NW winds; in a bura, sources suggest anchoring in the lee of the islet at the entrance or moving to Okuklje.
Best for
A restaurant buoy and grilled fish
Season
May–Oct; avoid in strong bura
