Porat Bay (Biševo)

A sandy bay with pine shade on the west side of Biševo, with a few cottages and a simple restaurant. Once the day boats leave it feels very remote, and on a calm night it is one of the loveliest anchorages in the area.
Practical
Anchor in 4-7 m on sand with excellent holding; the head of the bay shoals to about 1.5 m. Decent shelter from the south but open to SW, W and NW swell: leave if westerlies are forecast and go to Mezuporat or Komiža. Konoba Porat ashore. About an hour's walk to Mezuporat for the Blue Cave.
