Medvidina Cave (Biševo)

42° 57.6′ N · 16° 1.0′ E

A long, dark sea cave on the south of Biševo, named after the Mediterranean monk seal that once used it. It has a small pebble beach deep inside.

Practical

Enter only by dinghy or swimming in a dead calm, with a torch. Seals are now very rarely seen; if you meet one, back off and do not follow it into the cave.

Best for

An adventurous dinghy trip

Season

Jun-Sep, flat calm only
