Nečujam Bay (Šolta)

43° 23.3′ N · 16° 19.1′ E

The largest bay on Šolta, on the north coast with four arms. It is the best natural shelter on the island and a favourite first swim stop out of Split, about 9 nm away.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM bay (relation 10954167). Anchoring is allowed. Larger yachts anchor in the middle of the bay; smaller boats can tuck into the arms (Piškera, Supetar, Maslinica cove). Sheltered from southerlies; a strong bura or tramontana blows in from the north. Busy on weekends. Holiday development lines parts of the shore; Rogač ferry port and fuel are 2 nm west.
