Mrduja rope pull (Splitska vrata)

A good-humoured summer tug-of-war between the people of Šolta and Brač over who owns Mrduja, the islet with a green light in the middle of Splitska vrata. The day ends with a party in Stomorska or Milna, with boats running crews across.

Coordinate is the OSM islet Mrduja (light Fl G 3s, 43°20.3'N 16°24.9'E per ACI). Held around the end of July or early August; the exact date changes each year, so check with the Milna or Šolta tourist offices. Expect heavy small-boat traffic in the channel that day.
