Red Frog–Old Bank–Polo Beach Trails

Footpaths through Bastimentos' forest link Old Bank, Wizard Beach, Red Frog Beach and remote Polo Beach — sloths, howler and white-faced monkeys and red or 'blue-jeans' poison frogs along the way.
Practical
Position approximate (centre of the trail network). The beaches tour from the Bastimentos pier to Red Frog takes about three hours, with a US$5 private-trail fee (Tourism Panama). Red Frog to Polo Beach is about an hour's walk; guides from Old Bank lead the route to Polo (Tourism Panama). Red Frog resort roads are the best place cruisers found to see sloths (melonthego). Muddy in the rains; bring water, repellent and good shoes. Polo Beach is calm, reef-protected snorkeling named after its long-time sole inhabitant.
