Placencia's 'main street' is a narrow concrete sidewalk running through the village past gift shops, beach bars, cabanas and restaurants - Wikipedia calls it the longest main street that is a sidewalk - and it is where southern Belize's cruisers end up for dinner.
Practical
Mapped along it (OpenStreetMap): Pickled Parrot, Barefoot Bar, Tipsy Tuna, Omar's Creole Grub, Secret Garden, The Shak, Dawn's Grill 'n' Go, Brewed Awakenings coffee and Tutti Frutti gelato; Soundings also recommends Skip and Magda's Smoothie Shak, Wendy's, Yoli's and the Purple Space Monkey (older article). Ventura Yacht Agency counts more than 40 restaurants, bars and snack shops on the peninsula. Golf carts for hire (Barefoot Rentals). Tipping 10-15 percent.
