Little Water Cay (Iguana Island)
21° 50.1′ N · 72° 9.0′ W
A tiny nature-reserve cay 500 yards off Provo's Leeward end where hundreds of endemic Turks & Caicos rock iguanas sun themselves beside a boardwalk trail.
Practical
Managed by the Turks and Caicos National Trust; small tour dock, welcome hut and boardwalks, with Trust guides usually on site. Do not feed or touch the iguanas or leave the trail. Currents run in the channel between Provo and the cay — take care by kayak or dinghy. Part of the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve: no fishing or taking anything. A beach links it to Half Moon Bay, Water Cay and Pine Cay.
