Cayman Brac Port of Entry (The Creek)

19° 44.7′ N · 79° 46.2′ W

The Sister Islands' only port of entry, at The Creek on Cayman Brac's north coast: a high concrete cargo dock with a free yacht mooring just to the west.

Practical

Position is the DoE visiting-yacht mooring (19.74455N, 079.77008W), which matches Virgintino's white mooring about 150 yards west of the town dock (19 44.67N, 079 46.23W). Call Port Security/Port Authority on VHF 16 when approaching; they direct you to the dock (approach over 10 ft; big fenders, the dock is high) or to the mooring, and officials may come out or you ferry them by dinghy. A 2023 cruiser was told to grab a mooring and dinghy to the concrete pier at what they called 'Scott's dock' on the NW side, and a 2014 boat arriving at night was talked in by a shipping adviser. Clearing out: 24 hours' notice on 16 (2023). Moving between the Sister Islands and Grand Cayman requires clearing out with Customs and back in on arrival.
