Bird Rock Trail (Leeward)

Provo's only designated hiking trail, looping through mangrove channels, tidal marshes and low bluffs at Heaving Down Rock, a few minutes' walk from the Leeward marinas.
Practical
Free, always open, 1–2 hours; trailhead off Leeside Avenue is hard to find. Toxic coral sumac grows along (and in) the path; mosquitoes after rain; no restrooms.
