Small Hope Bay Anchorage

24° 44.9′ N · 77° 48.5′ W · approximate

A day roadstead inside the barrier reef off Small Hope Bay Lodge's beach, for divers and diners visiting the lodge, with the reef and the South Marine Park right outside.

Practical

Position approximate: in the water about 0.2 nm off the lodge beach, inshore of the South Marine Park boundary (OpenStreetMap). No cruising-guide anchorage is published here and depths are not documented in the sources used: approach from the Fresh Creek reef entrance inside the reef in good light, reading the water, and anchor only in sand. Open to the east: settled weather or light westerlies only, and move to Fresh Creek or Long Cay for the night. Do not anchor inside the no-take park. The lodge (855-841-6966, info@smallhope.com) can advise on where to land a dinghy.
