Rainbow Cay Beach Anchorage
25° 20.0′ N · 76° 26.0′ W
A pretty little cove off Rainbow Bay, all soft sand, with Hatchet Bay five miles away as the bolt-hole if the wind goes west.
Practical
Position from the ActiveCaptain marker. About 11 ft over soft sand with excellent holding (one boat had 7.5 ft at low tide 50 yd inside the marker, 2018). Approach from the south-west. Protected from north through north-east to east-south-east; swell wraps round the point in east-north-east and south-east winds, making it rolly. Room for perhaps six or seven boats; one or two can tuck tight in to the small beach for some south-east shelter. Deep water close to shore.
Best for
Settled-weather night on sand in north to east winds
