A quiet anchorage behind the barrier reef off the Mastic Point settlement, with a scatter of small cays to explore by dinghy; a natural overnight between Morgan's Bluff and Fresh Creek.
Practical
Position from ActiveCaptain. Sand bottom in about 2.3 m (7.5 ft) with good holding. Totally protected from SW round to NW; OK in east winds because the barrier reef cuts off the swell. Coming straight over the reef from the east is tricky with many coral heads: the safer approach is to follow the deep water inside the reef down from Nicholls Town (mostly sand and weed). Beach landing only. Mastic Point settlement has a small variety store. Great BTC voice and data (2016).
