White Sound itself is too small to anchor in, but there is a small anchorage just north of its marked entrance, handy for dinner at the Abaco Inn or fuel at Sea Spray.

Position approximate: placed in the water north of the White Sound entrance from OpenStreetMap coastline; sound it before dropping. Marinas.com and Southern Boating: little room inside the sound; a small anchorage just north of the entrance, or in settled weather anchor just outside and south of the channel (see Aunt Pat's Bay) and take the tender in. The entrance channel is well marked with a flashing white light and carries about 6 ft at low tide. Exposed to the west.
