26° 30.3′ N · 78° 39.7′ W

A gated resort marina at the end of a canal west of Port Lucaya, popular with cruisers staying a week or a season: pools, a bar, a dive shop on site and a free shuttle to the beach and the grocery store.

Practical

Position is the resort (OpenStreetMap). The marina's site publishes 26 29 22 N / 78 39 50 W, which plots about 0.9 nm south, off the canal jetty. 50-55 slips for yachts to 120 ft. Entrance: take the jetty west of Port Lucaya, run straight down the canal to its end and turn right. Depth at the jetty is 6 ft at low tide and 9-10 ft at high tide, and sandbanks about 300 ft from the canal mouth can limit draft to about 5.5 ft at low tide, so time a deep boat for the flood. Monitors VHF 16; ask for the dockmaster. Posted daily rates: $90 under 50 ft, $105 for 50-65 ft, $135 over 65 ft, with weekly and monthly rates, catamarans 1.5x, power 75 cents/kWh and water $5/day (no year stated; verify locally). 30 and 50 amp, laundry, showers, paid Wi-Fi. Not a port of entry: clear at Port Lucaya/GBYC or West End first. Grand Bahama Scuba operates from here. Phones (242) 373-3217, (954) 727-5770.
