Mangrove Cay Anchorage (East)
26° 55.2′ N · 78° 36.4′ W
The east-side spot at Mangrove Cay on the Little Bahama Bank, used when a westerly component makes the west side uncomfortable.
Practical
ActiveCaptain position. A 2023 crew anchored in about 8 ft with good holding on an all-chain Rocna: good for an overnight stop in settled weather. Same cautions as the main Mangrove Cay anchorage: exposed to wind, mud flats at low tide, no landing, show an anchor light. Cross-reference: Indian Rock Passage (about 18 nm) and Memory Rock (south) entry (about 26 nm).
Best for
Overnight on the bank in westerlies
