Propane is the scarcest cruiser commodity in the chain — no swap-and-go network and only a handful of places that will fill an American-fitting tank. Carry a spare bottle.

STANIEL CAY: Isles General Store (242-355-2007) fills when they have stock — the closest source for the central cays; intermittent, call first. LITTLE FARMER'S CAY: Hallan Rolle fills at his home near the Government Pier. GEORGE TOWN: a propane truck comes to the south shore of Lake Victoria on WEDNESDAYS after 10:00 in season, announced on the VHF 72 net; or Forbes Enterprises, drop tanks by 10:00 for same-day pickup, closed Sat and Sun; or Sun Oil near the BEC plant fills while you wait. NO PROPANE at Black Point, Warderick Wells, Compass Cay, Norman's Cay or reliably at Highbourne. Carry an adapter — fittings vary.
