Leaf Cay Iguanas
23° 47.2′ N · 76° 7.9′ W
A predator-free cay crawling with endangered Exuma Island rock iguanas that trot down the beach to meet the dinghy — far quieter than the tour-boat circus at Allen's Cay in the north.
Practical
Land the dinghy on the west beach. Do NOT feed them — grapes and lettuce cause real harm; keep hands and toes clear as they will nip. Endangered and protected. Anchor off Norman's Pond Cay, about 500 m west.
Best for
Guaranteed iguana encounter without the crowds
