BTC has the broader Out Island footprint and is the default for cruisers in the Exumas. There are real dead zones through the Land and Sea Park, and Starlink has become the standard fix for a season in the cays.
Practical
BTC: best Exumas coverage including remote cays; offices at Staniel Cay 242-355-2060 and Little Farmer's. ALIV: good in George Town, thinner in the cays. Third-party eSIMs (Airalo, Holafly) from around $15 for 5GB / 7 days — easiest for a charter crew. DEAD ZONE through much of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park; nearest towers are Highbourne to the north and Staniel to the south. STARLINK Roam with in-motion use is the common cruiser setup. FREE WIFI: Black Point at DeShamon's, Rockside Laundry and Scorpio's; Staniel at Taste and Sea and the SCYC clubhouse for guests; George Town at Peace and Plenty and Eddie's Edgewater.
