All Bahamian bag limits are PER VESSEL at any one time, not per person — the single most common mistake visiting crews make.

CLOSED SEASONS: Nassau grouper closed 1 Dec - 28/29 Feb, so MARCH IS OPEN, max 2/day. Spiny lobster open 1 Aug - 31 MARCH, closed 1 Apr - 31 Jul — March is the last legal month. Stone crab closed 1 Jun - 15 Oct. SIZE: crawfish min 3-3/8in carapace or 6in tail; no egg-bearing females. Conch needs a well-formed flaring lip. PER-VESSEL LIMITS: 18 pelagics total; 10 crawfish tails; 6 conch; 60 lb OR 20 demersal fish, whichever is less. PROHIBITED: all marine turtles; all billfish released unharmed; sharks fully protected.
