Harris Harbor (Juneau)
58° 18.1′ N · 134° 25.7′ W
Harris Harbor is a downtown Juneau harbor beside the Juneau-Douglas bridge, within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, a library and the post office. It is the better choice for a night in town before or after a trip.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM harbour point. Slip counts disagree: ADF&G says 204 slips, the CBJ page says 225. Water and 20/30/50 amp power at many slips, pump-out on the south-east corner, showers and self-service laundry across Egan Drive, launch ramp at the north end. Transient moorage is first-come, first-served; VHF 73; phone (907) 586-5255 (Aurora Harbor office). CBJ notes that vessels must pass under the Douglas Bridge to reach Harris and Aurora; clearance for your boat's air draft is unconfirmed, so check the chart. Petro Marine fuel dock (907) 586-4400 is directly across the channel.
