Sisters Rocks: Deep Blue Dive Site
12° 28.1′ N · 61° 31.5′ W
The deep side of the Sisters, two volcanic rocks about 2 nm west of Tyrrel Bay: a reef from 9 m to 40 m with big boulders hiding nurse sharks, morays, lobsters and turtles, and jacks, snappers and barracuda in the blue. Carriacou's showpiece dive.
Practical
Coordinate from Dive Carriacou's published dive-site map. Advanced. Ocean Pulse (2021) reports routes around the rocks for divers limited to 12 m, but tide changes run rough around new and full moon, currents can be very strong, and some divers may need a check-dive first. About a 10-minute boat ride from Tyrrel Bay. Dive Carriacou says the Sisters were nominated by National Geographic among the world's best dive sites. Inside the Sandy Island/Oyster Bed MPA: a US$3.50 per day MPA fee is added by the dive shop (Dive Carriacou).
