Barbados's favourite Friday night: in the Bay Garden by the Oistins fish market, stalls grill flying fish, mahi-mahi, marlin and tuna while DJs and bands play and locals dance oldies.

Position is Oistins from Wikipedia. The Bay Garden restaurants open through the week, but the area really comes alive on Friday nights (Visit Barbados). Order a fish platter with macaroni pie or rice and peas. The Berinda Cox Fish Market next door sells the catch daily. Oistins is on the south coast, a bus or taxi ride from Bridgetown (about BD$30 each way by taxi in 2017; verify locally). Go by road; the south coast here is not a recommended anchorage. The Oistins Fish Festival is held each Easter weekend.
