Kingstown Harbour

13° 9.0′ N · 61° 14.1′ W · approximate

St Vincent's capital and main commercial port, with ferries to Bequia and the Grenadines, cruise-ship berths, and the island's best markets and supermarkets just behind the waterfront.

Practical

Coordinate is the Wikidata/GeoNames point for Kingstown Bay (approx, in the bay). Noonsite (updated May 2025): there is no comfortable docking, and only a short stop at the ferry port is possible (ferry port position 13 09'03"N, 61 13'31"W). Do not leave the boat unattended. As more cruise ships come, anchoring room is shrinking. The usual cruiser approach is to anchor at Young Island Cut or Blue Lagoon and take a minibus into town, or to clear in at Bequia and take the daily ferry. Fuel and water are available from the Fishermen's Cooperative dock, open 8 am to 7 pm (Noonsite). Lights (NGA list via OpenStreetMap): Fort Charlotte, Fl(3) W 20s, 195 ft, 16 M, on the headland west of the bay; fixed red lights on the Kingstown wharf. Noonsite's 2026 security page reports rising gang violence in Kingstown: stay alert in town and avoid isolated areas at night.
